Adaptix VetSA3D Expands into The Mobile Vet Surgery with Dr Adam Burch

We are pleased to announce the latest installation of the Adaptix VetSA3D, now successfully integrated into The Mobile Vet Surgery with Dr Adam Burch and his team. This marks an important milestone in the continued evolution of mobile veterinary imaging.

Building on our earlier mobile deployment within an exotics-focused setting, this installation represents the first time the Adaptix VetSA3D has been adopted within a broader small animal mobile veterinary service. It reflects a natural progression in how the technology is being used across a wider range of clinical environments.

Mobile veterinary practices have traditionally faced limitations when it comes to advanced imaging. Conventional systems are often impractical due to their size, weight, and infrastructure requirements. The Adaptix VetSA3D has been designed to overcome these challenges.

With a compact footprint and lightweight design at just 23kg, the system is well-suited to mobile workflows. For Adam and his team, this means 3D imaging can now be delivered directly at the point of care, whether during home visits, in remote locations, or in community-based settings.

From a clinical perspective, on-site access to 3D imaging supports greater diagnostic confidence and more efficient treatment planning. In many cases, this can reduce the need for referrals and allow cases to be managed more effectively within the mobile setting.

There are also clear benefits for both patients and their owners. Delivering advanced diagnostics in a familiar environment can reduce stress for animals while providing quicker answers and a more convenient experience for clients.

Adam commented, “These things [Adaptix VetSA3D] are much more detailed than your conventional 2D X-Ray. It gives you more detail on things like tooth roots, joints, allowing us to diagnose things much more accurately.”

This installation reflects a broader shift within the veterinary profession towards more flexible, patient-focused models of care, supported by innovative technology.

We are proud to support clinicians like Adam Burch who are helping to drive that change.

If you are considering how digital tomosynthesis imaging could fit into your practice, whether fixed, referral, or mobile, we would be pleased to discuss how Adaptix VetSA3D can support your workflow.
